CSIR-CDRI Tech. Assistant and Technician Recruitment 2025

The advertisement notifies 12 Technical Assistant posts, of which 07 are backlog posts, and 32 Technician-1 posts, of which 06 are backlog posts. CSIR-CDRI publishes the two figures separately and does not print a combined total anywhere in the advertisement. The 12 Technical Assistant posts are distributed over seven post codes TA 01 to TA 07.

It depends on the post code. Post codes TA 01 to TA 06 require a B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in the relevant subject, plus either a one-year full-time professional qualification or one year of relevant experience - a plain B.Sc. on its own is not enough. Post code TA 07, Centralized Utility Services, instead requires a Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering of at least three years full-time duration with minimum 60% marks and two years of experience in Chemical Plant Operation and Maintenance.

SSC or 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks, plus one of three alternatives: an ITI certificate or National/State trade certificate in the relevant trade, or 2 years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized institution in that trade, or 3 years of work experience in that trade in a Ministry, Department, Organization, Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body under the Government of India, a State or a Union Territory. The ITI certificate is one route and not the only one, and the Science-subjects and 55% marks conditions apply to all three routes.

The upper age limit is 28 years, not exceeding, reckoned as on 26 December 2025 - the closing date for applications - for both Technical Assistant and Technician-1. The advertisement prescribes an upper age limit only and states no minimum age. Age relaxation is dealt with in a separate Relaxation column of the advertisement.

Registration and submission of the online application closed on Friday, 26 December 2025 at 17:30 Hrs IST. Registration had opened on Tuesday, 25 November 2025 at 10:00 Hrs IST, on cdri.res.in through the 'TECHNICAL & SUPPORT STAFF RECRUITMENT' link.

Technical Assistant is Pay Level 6, Cell-1, in the scale Rs. 35400-112400, with approximate total emoluments of Rs 67530 per month. Technician-1 is Pay Level 2, Cell-1, in the scale Rs. 19900-63200, with approximate total emoluments of Rs 36918 per month. CSIR-CDRI describes both emolument figures as approximate, computed on the minimum of the scale and including House Rent Allowance in Lucknow City.

The online application window opened on 25 November 2025 (Tuesday), 10:00 Hrs IST. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal until the last date.
