Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, PwBD and Ex-serviceman categories are exempt, except ex-servicemen who have already secured regular civil employment after availing ex-servicemen reservation. The fee must be paid only through SBI e-Pay - DSSSB states that payment made by any other mode will not be considered and shall stand forfeited.
What is the selection process?
Two tiers. Tier-I is a preliminary objective examination of 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks in 150 minutes, covering Hindi, English, General Knowledge and Arithmetic at 25 marks each, with 0.25 mark deducted for every wrong answer. Qualifying marks are 50 for UR and 45 for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PH/ESM. Tier-II is an interview worth 15 marks with no minimum qualifying marks, conducted by the Delhi High Court, which also prepares the final merit list and allocates posts.
How many candidates are called for interview?
Not more than five times the total number of vacancies available in each category. Preference is given to candidates with specialised experience or knowledge in cooking, carpentry, electrician work or driving with a valid driving licence.
