NCERT Advertisement No. 01/2025/Non-Academic offers 173 provisional non-academic vacancies by direct recruitment across NCERT's establishments in New Delhi, Bhopal, Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, Nellore, Shillong, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati and Kolkata: 9 Group-A posts at Level 10-12, 26 Group-B posts at Level 6-7 and 138 Group-C posts at Level 2-5 of the 7th CPC, the Lower Division Clerk among them. How can the fee be paid?
By debit card, credit card or net banking only, through the payment gateway integrated with the application form. Any transaction or processing fee charged by the bank is payable by the candidate on top of the application fee.
What is the age limit?
It is set per post, not for the recruitment as a whole. Group-A posts carry a maximum age of 35, 40 or 50 years depending on the post, every Group-B post carries 30 years, and Group-C posts carry 27 or 30 years. Minimum and maximum age are reckoned as on the closing date of online submission of applications, and date of birth is taken from the Matriculation or Secondary Examination certificate.
What is the selection process and which stage produces the merit list?
Mode of selection is specified for each post in Part-II of the advertisement and differs between posts - Interview only, Written plus Interview with Skill Test, Written plus Skill Test, Skill Test only, or Written Test only. The provisional merit list is drawn on the marks scored in the CBT or written test, and those who qualify are then called for interview or verification of original testimonials. NCERT reserves the right to conduct a written test for all posts, or not to conduct one for a post, without prior notice.
How is the Lower Division Clerk post selected, and what qualification does it need?
The Mode of Selection for Lower Division Clerk, post code 41, is Written Test. The essential qualification is Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent plus a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer, corresponding to 10500 and 9000 key depressions per hour at an average of 5 key depressions per word.
Is there a medical examination in this recruitment?
The advertisement prescribes none. The only medical document it requires is a certificate from an appropriate Medical Authority that PwBD candidates shortlisted for the final stage of selection, interview or document verification must produce to show they meet the functional requirements of the post.
