Rajasthan Public Service Commission Detailed Advertisement No. 06/Exam/School Lect.&Coach/RPSC/EP-I/2025-26, dated 17 July 2025, for Lecturer and Coach posts in the Secondary Education Department under the Rajasthan Education (State and Subordinate) Service Rules, 2021.

3225 posts across 27 subjects. The largest are Hindi (710), Commerce (430), Political Science (350), English (307), Geography (270), Chemistry (177), Drawing (180), History (170) and Urdu (140); the smallest are Public Administration (02), Rajasthani (06), Punjabi (06) and Music (07), along with six Coach posts in Athletics (02), Basketball (02), Volleyball, Handball, Kabaddi and Table Tennis (01 each). The advertisement states that the number of posts may be reduced or increased and that the category-wise classification will be issued separately.

Every essential qualification clause requires a Degree or Diploma in Education recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education or the Government, in addition to a UGC-recognised Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject. Home Science also accepts a post-graduate degree recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. For Biology the post-graduate subject may be Zoology, Botany, Micro-Biology, Bio-Technology, Life Science or Bio Science, but Botany and Zoology must both have been studied at graduation level. For Commerce the requirement is a post-graduate degree in Commerce with a B.Com., or a post-graduate degree in Commerce with at least two teaching subjects prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Ajmer for the Commerce group.

The examination carries 450 marks in two papers: Paper I on General Studies of 150 marks in one and a half hours, and Paper II on the subject concerned of 300 marks in three hours. All questions in both papers are multiple choice, and one third of the marks prescribed for a question is deducted for every wrong answer, a wrong answer meaning an incorrect answer or multiple answers. A candidate must score at least 40 percent in each paper, relaxed by 5 percent for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Coach candidates take the same two papers and can earn up to 40 further marks for participation in sports and tournaments.

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS men of Rajasthan, by 10 years for women of those categories and by 5 years for General category women; widows and divorced women have no upper age limit; ex-servicemen get 10 years subject to a ceiling of 50 years, or 55 years where experience of a lower post is essential; and persons with benchmark disabilities get a further 05 years on top of any one of these. The relaxations are non-cumulative - only one may be claimed, with the disability relaxation added to it - and no candidate may be over 60, the retirement age, at the date of appointment. The advertisement itself does not print the base age range that these relaxations apply to.

No. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS and ex-servicemen candidates is available only to persons domiciled in Rajasthan. Applicants from other States must apply under the General category and pay the General category registration fee, and a woman from another State who becomes a Rajasthan resident by marriage is still not given SC, ST, OBC or MBC reservation in public employment. Creamy-layer OBC and MBC candidates of Rajasthan are also treated as General.

It is a one-time registration fee fixed by the Personnel Department circular of 19 April 2023, not a fee charged per examination. If a candidate fails to appear in 02 recruitment examinations within one financial year, from 01 April to 31 March, the online application facility is blocked and is restored only on payment of Rs 750; a second block in the same financial year costs Rs 1500 to restore. Withdrawing an application before the examination date, where the Commission offers that option, is not counted as an absence.

The last date to submit the online application is 12 September 2025 (up to 12:00 midnight). Applications received after this date are not considered.
