329 posts in all, listed specialty by specialty across 17 broad specialties and 16 super specialties. What educational qualification does the advertisement prescribe?
It does not prescribe one. The special note in the advertisement states that the educational qualification, the experience and the category-wise classification of the posts will be issued separately on the Commission's website. It does say that experience, where required, must be earned after the educational qualification and on or before the last date for the online application, in the format attached to the advertisement, and that the relaxation allowing final-year candidates to apply does not apply to posts that require experience.
What was the age limit for RPSC Assistant Professor (Medical Education)?
As on 01 January 2026 the maximum age was below 37 years, except for posts whose minimum qualification is a DM or MCh, where it was 42 years. Persons with benchmark disabilities get a further 05 years on top. The relaxations at points 1 to 8 are non-cumulative. The advertisement prescribes no minimum age.
What was the examination pattern?
One written paper on the concerned subject of 150 marks with 150 multiple-choice questions, lasting two hours and thirty minutes, plus an interview of 15 marks. One third of the marks of a question are deducted for a wrong answer. Each question has five options and option 5 must be darkened for a question the candidate does not wish to answer, because leaving all five blank also costs one third of the marks; a candidate who leaves more than 10 percent of the questions unmarked is disqualified. Ten extra minutes are given at the end to check that one circle has been darkened for every question.

The one-time registration fee set by the Personnel Department is Rs 600 for General (Unreserved) candidates and for Backward Class and More Backward Class candidates of the creamy layer, and Rs 400 for SC, ST, non-creamy-layer Backward Class and More Backward Class, EWS and Sahariya area candidates of Rajasthan and for persons with disabilities.
